It is a subsidiary of HSBC bank in Argentina. It is in the top seven of the largest and most important banks in the country. It is responsible for offering financial and banking products to a large number of daily customers.

History

Its story begins when one of the UK banks of that time (Midland Bank) acquired a part of the Banco Roberts that was a South American bank. In 1992, HSBC Group bought Midland, and years later, it purchased the remaining portion of Banco Roberts and then called it HSBC Argentina Holdings SA. The bank grew thanks to the purchase of BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro), which had a large number of branches.

In 2009, it moved to the headquarters that formerly belonged to the Banco Popular Argentino and also the Banco Roberts.
