Bancomext

The Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext), is a Mexican bank responsible for financing exports of goods and services. It is a development bank and constitutes a National Credit Society. It is the most important foreign trade institution in Mexico.

History

Its creation was promoted by the president of Mexico of 1937, Lázaro Cárdenas, and began operating that same year at its headquarters at that time (Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México). In 1950, export agreements for products such as rice, wax, cotton, honey, and more began. In 1981, it began operating as multiple banking, and four years later, it was established as a National Credit Society and development bank. In 1992, it became the first Mexican institution to issue commercial paper issues abroad. In 2017, it joined the Asociación de Bancos de Mexico.

BBB+ (S&P Global) = It is a medium level, but they are in a good situation.

BBB (Fitch) =It has high solvency, but sensitive to adverse changes.
